      I would have gladly spent an additional [$] if the cedar wood would have been more sturdier, thicker, and built to last.It definately serves the purpose of decoration and minimal usage. It's small and short.

          We purchased this for a decoration across a fake riverbed in our backyard. Other people had wrote reviews complaining about the wood splintering and that the looks were deceiving. We thought we'd try it anyway and the wood splintered and it appears to be for a kids play yard or something much smaller than what we had envisioned and needed.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

          I purchased this bridge for a landscaping project in our front yard where a natural drainage area lent itself to a dry "creek bed." We all, including the landscaping designer were impressed with the look of the bridge, but despite the specs for it, we were surprised at how small it really was. Nevertheless, since it was only needed as a purely decorative feature, we were satisfied with it. Other reviews I read about this bridge mentioned the ease with which the wood split apart during construction. We had a problem with a piece splitting during assembly, but were able to salvage it with wood glue. All in all, it was a good purchase, but I recommend that anyone considering this purchase really look at the specs carefully. This bridge is not what the pictures seem to be. If you're looking for a cute addition to your garden, you will be pleased. However, it certainly is not a FUNCTIONAL footbridge -- decorative ONLY! The bottom line is that I would, with reservations, recommend this bridge to a friend.
